EZ No Slip™ Bathtub and Shower Coating Instructions

EZ No Slip™ is best applied with the paint roller provided in this package. For tighter areas, a foam brush is recommended. Four ounces of EZ No Slip™ will provide two individual coats to the base of an entire bathtub. This is necessary to provide the hardness, durability and lifespan of EZ No Slip™.

The coating goes on easily, is self-leveling and dries to a clear, glossy finish.

Preparation

The surface should be completely dry and free of dirt, debris and oil or grease prior to application. Thoroughly clean the surface to be coated with water and a standard cleaner to remove dirt, dust and stains. Dry the surface before applying the product.

Application

  1. Lay the EZ No Slip™ bottle down on its side and roll it back and forth vigorously to fully mix the aggregate.
  2. Pour the product into the provided paint tray and apply it first to a small test area.
  3. Roll or apply the product evenly back and forth over the surface at a steady pace, making sure not to coat the product too heavily or apply too much pressure on the brush or roller. When applying, avoid heavy buildup, puddling and overlapping.
  4. Swirl the liquid in the paint tray occasionally to keep the aggregate evenly mixed throughout the solution.

Important: Bubbling and Drying

If bubbling occurs on the surface when applying, allow the solution to settle for several minutes before continuing. If necessary, bubbles can be “popped” when the solution is wet by blowing on the surface or applying air pressure (i.e., with a hair dryer). Bubbles will also be caused by rolling the liquid back and forth too fast.

The surface will be ready for showering within 6 hours at 70°F and 50% relative humidity. Allowing an overnight cure time is highly recommended. Do not apply at temperatures below 50°F or above 90°F.

Cleaning

Clean your EZ No Slip™ treated floor, tub or other surface as needed with a medium-stiffness nylon-bristled brush using water and any household neutral pH detergent, such as dishwashing liquid, only.

DO NOT use harsh chemicals, sponges or rags to scrub.

Warning and Maintenance

Allow 48 hours for full cure before taking a bath or subjecting the surface to standing water or prolonged puddling.

  • DO NOT clean EZ No Slip™ treated surfaces with highly abrasive tools such as scouring pads or abrasive sponges. Over-abrasion will damage the surface of the coating, removing the non-slip textured aggregate.
  • Harsh chemicals will damage the surface appearance, giving it a brownish tinge.
  • DO NOT use chemical solvents to clean, as they may dissolve the coatings.

Use of any of the listed “DO NOT use” or “DO NOT clean” cleaning methods or solutions releases the manufacturer from any guarantees of performance and voids the manufacturer's limited warranty.
